Guest H4U Porto River View Mercadores is a charming apartment located close to the river, with a small standing balcony directly overlooking the Douro River. The apartment features stone walls, a wooden staircase, and authentic Portuguese charm.
It is comfortable and fully equipped, including kitchen utensils, an oven, a fridge, a Nespresso machine, a bathroom with a bathtub, and a sitting area.
The apartment offers a Wi-Fi connection and a television that works with Wi-Fi. There is no fixed heating system; however, a portable heater can be provided for an additional daily cost. For summer comfort, the apartment is cooled by a powerful and quiet ceiling fan.

Guest H4U Porto Mercadores is located on a typical street in the heart of Porto, right on the riverfront of the Douro River. At the foot of the building, you’ll find one of the city’s most renowned restaurants, Taberna dos Mercadores, where you can enjoy traditional Portuguese specialities.
The Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto), the Dom Luís I Bridge, and the famous Port Wine Cellars are all just a few minutes away on foot.
Guest H4U Online Assistance:
- Available daily from 08:00 to 20:00 (8 AM - 8 PM) via direct messaging through the app. Note: Assistance is not available on December 25th.
Check-in:
- Check-in from 15:00 (3PM) to 20:00 (8PM) – FREE; from 20:00 (8PM) to 21:30 (9:30PM) – 15€; from 21:30 (9:30PM) to 23:00 (11PM) – 25€; from 23:00 (10PM) to 00:00 (12AM) – 50€; after 00:00 (12AM) – from 50€. All late check-ins are subject to our availability.
Quiet Hours:
- Please ensure no noise between 22:00 (10 PM) and 08:00 (8 AM).
Group Policy:
- We do not accept groups of young people under 18 unless accompanied by a legal guardian.
Party Policy:
- Parties are strictly prohibited.
Pet Policy:
- Animals are not allowed.
Baby Kit:
- Complete Baby Kit (baby bath, high chair, and baby cot): €25 per week.
- Baby cot only: €15 per week.
Smoking Policy:
- Smoking is strictly forbidden on the property. If evidence of smoking is found (e.g., smell, ashes, cigarette butts), a minimum fee of €200 will be charged.
Key and Door Services:
- Lost Keys: €20 replacement fee.
Door Opening:
- During working hours (09:00 to 20:00): €20.
- Outside working hours (20:00 to 09:00): Starts at €50, subject to availability.
Heating:
- In Portugal, heating systems are not considered a basic need and are not typically installed in homes. We offer a portable heater for €10/day. Please request it at least one day before your arrival to ensure comfort during colder months.
Cleaning for Extended Stays:
- For stays exceeding 7 nights, for 29€ per week, we can provide a cleaning service that includes: cleaning, fresh bed sheets, and towels.
The apartment is entirely private, with no shared spaces, including the bathroom, kitchen, or living area.
It is located on the 2nd floor of a traditional wood and stone building and is accessible by stairs only (no elevator, approximately 20–22 steps).
Our team is fully at your disposal before, during, and after your stay to assist you whenever possible.

Important information before booking
This is a non-smoking apartment. Please respect this rule for the comfort of future guests — failure to do so will result in a 200€ damage charge.
Parties are not permitted. Please respect the neighbours and keep noise to a minimum between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
We do not accept groups of young people under 18 unless accompanied by a legal guardian.
Pets are not allowed in the apartment.
There is no fixed heating system in the apartment; a portable heater can be provided for an additional cost.
Access, parking & check-in
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
All check-ins after 8:00 PM (20:00) are subject to our availability and incur additional fees:
• 8:00–9:30 PM: 15€
• 9:30–11:00 PM: 25€
• 11:00 PM–12:00 AM: 50€
• After 12:00 AM: from 50€
Check-out is possible until 11:00 AM.
A private, secure, covered parking space is available by reservation only for 13€ per day, located approximately 20 minutes on foot from the apartment. As there is only one parking space, availability cannot be guaranteed for your arrival date. Thank you for your understanding.

Private driver services are available, including airport transfers from 29€ per trip (contact us for details).
